Hire Survivors is thrilled to offer a Fiscal Sponsorship Grant Program for screen, stage, and creative projects that either feature survivors in key positions, focus on survivor storytelling, or are otherwise aligned with our mission to end retaliation against survivors while creating a safer, more equitable world for all.
As a Fiscally Sponsored Project, you are able to raise funds for your project through tax-deductible donations made directly to Hire Survivors and ear marked for your specific project. Our organization takes a 7% fee to cover our administrative costs (accountant fees, administering the funds, book keeping, setting up and managing your donation portal, etc) and 93% of every dollar raised goes directly to your project. When you are approved, we will create a donation portal for your via Zeffy (which is free of charge to nonprofits and donors alike). We can also manage donations that are made via Benevity, we can act as your Fiscal Sponsor via platforms like Seed&Spark, we can accept donations via check, and so much more.
Since soft launching the Fiscal Sponsorship Grant Program in 2025, we have approved 8 projects that represent stage plays, feature films, short films, documentaries, one-person comedy shows, and web series in both New York and Los Angeles. Whether you are looking to mount a play in Omaha, direct a short film in Nashville, create a documentary with subjects spanning the USA, or any other creative venture you can imagine – in any location – , we can help support you in your goals.
